UPGRADES: Alien Skin Textured Faux Dichroic Plugs

We're continuing on with our quest to upgrade to plugs with more colour and more shiny, and our Alien Skin textured faux dichro plugs were the next in line.

Alien skin plugs now have a more luminous effect; they're not glow in the dark or anything like that, they're just more, well, oooomphy these days. We've added a few more varieties of colour as well, and their names just have numbers instead of being part-named after old Pink Floyd songs. However, we have had to let go of the of Alien Skin (Small Furry Creatures) plugs, but they will make a sort of return in the near future in a different form. But, all is not lost; if you really needed a pair, or replacement for one you've lost, then please make a Special Order and we'll get onto that for you.

As you can see, they come in six different colour combos, and are listed at sizes 8mm - 25mm (8mm - 16mm at Ebay), single or double flared. They're listed in 316L surgical steel, but we can go bigger, or make them in titanium or wood via the good old Special Orders form. The backs of the plugs are colour-matched the base colour of the fronts, and are opaque and slightly-domed, so you've got two plugs in one if you get double flareds, which is always nice.

UPGRADES: Aberration Rainbow Faux Dichro Dichroic Plugs

Our product photos were looking a bit tired, and were also a bit small and cluttered. After much thought, we made the brave decision to go through each and every plug type and get nice, big, zoomable photos of them all. Which led us to think, why don't we go through each and every plug type, and see what else we can do with them.

We started with the Aberration plugs. We're doing this all alphabetically, you see, it was the only way to get some sort of order out of the chaos of new ideas that were seemingly flooding in from all over the place.

But I digress. Aberrations are now upgraded with even more shiny, and even more colourfulness now that they come in 7 different colour-shifting combos. The colours are as follows:

03: Magenta with rainbow flash
04: Blue with yellow green flash
05: Purple with rainbow flash
06: Orange with blue teal flash
07: Magenta with blue teal flash

Deep Ocean of RGB Plugs: Clear Red & Blue Teal Iridescence

New at lopl.uk: Deep Ocean of RGB plugs. These are lovely little fellas; they're a gorgeous translucent red topped off with blue, green and teal iridescent faux dichroic flashes of colour. They're deep-set as well, so there's more colour-action going on than with the standard Ocean of RGB plugs.

They're very nice. Photos don't do them justice.

These have actually been a while in the making, as we could never get them quite right (all sorts of weird stuff, some ugly, happened when they cured, which ruined their super-prettiness). However, we don't like to be beaten by weird, ugly things that can happen during the manufacturing process, so we pushed on and I think we've won now.

Deep Ocean of RGB plugs are available now in sizes 8mm / 0g up to 25mm / 1", single or double flared, 316L surgical steel, titanium or wood. We might be able to do these in other colour combos as well, so give us a shout over at Special Orders for the custom plugs of your dreams.

Heart-Eyed Skull Ear Weights: Brass Copper Silver-Tone: 6mm / 2g & Over

These customisable Heart-Eyed Skull ear weights / hangies have been a long time in the making. The inital batch was made up November 2018 (or thereabouts), with one pair being completed and listed, but things got in the way, or broke, or ran out, so the others were put on hold.

However! The heart skull weights are not on hold anymore, they're now listed in the shop (with the exception of the silver-toned aluminium ones, they're awaiting polishing). Each listing has diifferent configurations, just as a few examples of how you can customise them.

First up are the copper heart-eyed skull ear weights / hangies. These have rose-gold-plated hooks, and fit through thin-walled tunnels 6mm / 2g and over. You can wear these in naked piercings as well, but only for short periods. Weight of these is ~26g.

Next we have the brass and blue haematite heart-eyed skull ear weights / hangies. These have brass saddle spreader hooks, and are lovely and comfortable to wear. The flares on these saddles do verge on the very large side, so unless you have very stretchy ears you may be better off getting a smaller size.  These come in sizes (big) 8mm  / 0g and over and weight ~32g.

And finally (for now) the Madagascan labradorite dark-silver-toned heart-eyed skull ear weights / hangies. These have been cold cast in iron, and have stainless steel hooks. These can be worn in naked piercings for however long is comfortable, or through tunnels size 8mm / 0g and over, and weigh in ~29g. The labradorite has a nice bit of flash on it as well, which is always good.

Heart-Eyed Skull Facts! The skulls used for these are based on the Love-Skull design by FP-Creator; you can find their original model on the Thingiverse. These particular ones were optimised for ear weight fabness in Blender and 3D Builder, then printed in resin before being moulded and cold-cast into the ones pictured.

Back With A Vengeance!

Hello pluggy people!

We're have returned from semi-hibernation, and raring to go at it again. We had a very busy 2016, leaving us exhausted and uninspired, and needed a break to do some different projects to get new inspiration and new ideas. As a result, Lovely Plugly had a semi-hiatus; orders were still going on but products weren't actively marketed so we could make room for other activities. We're now back and fully refreshed and coming up with new and interesting things to adorn your earholes. Like plugs! Ear hangies! Tunnels!

We've also moved from the old lovelyplugly.com shop to a brand new location at https://lopl.uk Reward points, unfortunately, are no more, but if you have any outstanding please contact us at hello at lovelyplugly dot com, and we'll sort you out nicely :) Please note that at the time of writing our new shop is still being populated with a vast array of products, so please feel free to make a special order you don't see what you want.

Another month goes by without posting, but we've been really busy working on new products for your ear holes. Today we're welcoming in these gorgeous lily flower ear weights / hangies to the Lovely Plugly ear family.


These are cold cast in silver aluminium, brass, bronze and copper, before being antiqued, polished and finished up by hand. Oooer. New: Chandelier Gemstone Ear Weights / Hangies for Tunnels / Eyelets / Gauges 10mm / 00g and Over

We've been making danglies and hangies for a while, but wanted something a bit heavier to hang from our ears. We came up with these Chandelier Gemstone weights.

These chandeliers for tunnels are made with love and come chock-full of shiny stone in various colours. The metal bits are silver-plated, lead-free and nickel-free, and the hooks are made from flexible polymer clay and polyurethane, coloured to match the stone. They're made to fit in thin-walled tunnels size 10mm / 00g and over, are sold in pairs and are ready-to-ship, either from our shop or our Etsy.

We're not taking custom orders on these for the foreseeable future, so each one is one of a kind -- grab them while they're hot!

We've been really busy over the past few months, what with it going all a bit mental over Christmas and being a wee bit short-staffed for a while, so we've not long had some time to develop new products for your earholes. We've since got access to new toys and new materials, and are having a great time playing about with them, and we've even managed to come out with some plugs.

NEW: Hoops for Tunnels / Eyelets / Gauges

Like wearing hoop earrings but can't find a pair that dangle well with your eyelets? Give our hoops for tunnels / eyelets a go!

These silver-plated babies fit in tunnels / eyelets starting from 5mm / 4g, and are flexible enough to get in and out easily, yet they stay in like good little hoops :)

We make these as plain hoops, or you can give them a bit of oomph with semi-precious gemstones. We've got a wide range of gemstones to choose from as well, including jaspers, quartzes, agates, labradorite, onyx, obsidian, flourite, and more!

We also take custom requests for these, so please contact us if there's something different that you'd like hanging from your ears.

NEW: Shiny Polymer Clay Ear Weights / Hangies for Tunnels / Eyelets

You may remember last year that we started stocking ready-made polymer clay ear weights / hangies made by our very own Mrs Boot. These did so well that we've started doing preorders on a whole, wide range of different shaped and sized weights / hangies.

You may be wondering, "how on earth do I get these in?" Well, they're bendy for easy in-and-outability, yet manage to retain their shape at the same time, so there's no worries there. Since they're made of a combo of polymer clay and polyurethane, we strongly recommend that these are worn only through tunnels, as the materials aren't great for your ears.

We offer these in a good range of metallic, glittery colours: silver, gold, copper, rose, cerise, purple, blue, teal, green and rainbow faux anodised, as well as good old black satin. We can do more non-metallic colours on these as well (quite fancy a white pair, myself), so please contact us if you fancy something different.

These fit tunnels / eyelets sized 10mm / 00g and over, but if you want them to fit 8mm / 0g THIN tunnels, then please drop us a line and we'll sort you out a special order.

NEW: Removable Plug Pendants for Single Flared / Screwback Plugs / Gauges

Dangly plugs are great, but wouldn't it be nice if you could take the dangles off and pop them on your favourite single-flared or screwback plugs? Well, we've made this possible with Plug Pendants. Simply get your plug or tunnel, slide on the Plug Pendant and put in your ear -- it's as simple as that.

See top right for a picture of the Bird in Hoop Plug Pendants worn with an Aurora Borealis Blue plug.

Plug Pendants have a 316L surgical steel base, so they won't make your ear go funny, and have low-nickel dangly components. You can get them in sizes 8mm / 0g - 20mm / >3/4" and they'll happily fit on most single-flared and screwback plugs (we've tested them on a lot of different plugs with no problems, but can't absolutely, positively guarantee they'll fit on your plugs as some plugs may run a bit big).

NEW: Fauxpal White Faux Opal Plugs / Gauges

Wow, it's been a busy couple of months, so busy that we've not had time to write about our new products yet! Let's get started with these Fauxpal plugs ...

Now, we've been playing about with these for years but despite our best efforts, we could never get them as 'opally' as we'd like.

Until now.

Fauxpal faux opal plugs have a white base with flashes of blue, green and orange. They're available at http://www.lovelyplugly.com, and you can get them in sizes 8mm / 0g up to 25mm / 1" in 316L surgical steel, titanium and glass.

At some point we'll be doing these in different colours (blue, pink, green), so if you fancy any in these colours now then please get in touch and we'll see what we can do :) We're also working on getting these looking super as tunnels as well, again, get in touch if you fancy an opally tunnel or two.

Right now we're making these in 10mm / 00g up to 25mm / 1" in 316L economy steel only, but we should be able to get these babies down to 8mm soon. Maybe we do more materials too, we shall see.

New Plugs: 1977 Lava Lamp Translucent Groovy Custom Plugs / Gauges

Hello there, have you met our new 1977 lava lamp style plugs yet? We've been playing around with various forms of these for a while, and the ones here are by far the favourites.

Unfortunately, these ones don't have the moving blobs of lava (those particular ones had a shelf-life so were abandoned, shame) but they still look fantastically colourful and lava-lamp like. They look particularly wonderful when they have a bit of backlight, the translucent colour lights up, making the blobs of lava stand out all proud and out there.

You can get our groovy 1977 lava lamp style plugs in sizes 10mm (00g) up to 25mm (1"), and they come in a range of colours and materials (316L surgical steel, titanium and pyrex glass), just take your pick :)

New Plugs: Raindrop Blue Yellow Clear Faux Dichro Flash Plugs

We've been busy bees for a while and haven't had much time to make new shiny things :( However, time was on our side this week (as well as some accidental inspiration) and we've made something new.

Hurray!

Introducting our new Raindrop Blue Yellow Clear faux dichro flash plugs. These plugs are transparent with stonking flashes of blue that wave about on the surface when you move your head about. Marvelous. They've got a bit of a sunny yellow tinge to them when looked at straight on, but show up as clear with blue flashes at all other angles.

Do like these, have been wearing these the past few days, despite the fact that I'm meant to be stress-testing some new tunnels (which are also very nice BTW).
